FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do I need to have my G1 licence to start the program?

A: No. However, you should obtain your G1 licence and start your in-car training within eight weeks of completing the classroom portion of the course. This will help in maintaining classroom and in-car continuity.

What is the certificate that you provide?

A: Every student who successfully finishes our driving school course will receive an official MTO-issued certificate from the Ministry’s office in Ontario. This certificate provides official recognition that you completed a certified driver’s education course, which entitles you to take your road test earlier.

Can I use my driving instructor’s car for my road test?
A: You can use your instructor’s car to take your road test for an additional cost, depending on the requirements from your chosen test centre. Additionally, we offer one lesson you can take with us right before your test to give you some extra practice.
Can I take this course before I get my G1?
A: Yes, you can take the online portion only before you get your G1 as long as you have turned 16, or your birthday is within 2 month of the course date. We require a G1 copy on file at the office before any in-car lessons can be taught.
How long do I have to wait to take my Ontario driving test?
A: Anyone with a G1 permit must wait one year to take their G2 road test, but if you go through a certified driving school like ours, you can take your road test after eight months.
